Laura Harding is a veteran of the United States Navy, a long standing community advocate, and an expert researcher. She has filed countless FOIA and right-to-know requests with local, state and federal agencies and won numerous RTKL appeals with the PA Office of Open Records.
As a senior undergraduate student at Penn State Harrisburg, she was the first veteran ever to be selected as a Legislative Fellow by the Bipartisan Management Committee of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, where she was assigned to the Veterans Affairs and Emergency Management Committee, chaired by Representative Paul Semmel. The original legislation she wrote as her final project, expanding the PA State Animal Response Team, was later sponsored and has since become law. Laura’s work experience includes public relations, logistics, procurement, and as a warranted Contracting Officer for multiple federal agencies.
Laura holds a B.S. in Public Policy from Penn State Harrisburg and a Grant Writing Certificate from Temple Harrisburg..
